As part of the Vietnam–Cambodia Trade and Product Promotion Fair 2026 (VIDEX CAMBODIA 2026), Metfone hosted a panel discussion on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology in business, bringing together technology experts and representatives from businesses and banks in Cambodia.
Moderated by Metfone Deputy General Director Ouk Chipphal, the discussion featured speakers from Viettel Customer Service Company (VCX), Metfone and eMoney. The panel explored technology trends shaping business operations, particularly the use of AI to enhance customer experience, optimize operations and support businesses on their digital transformation journeys.
The event saw experts share practical insights into how businesses can use AI and digital platforms to improve productivity, enhance service quality and manage operations more effectively. Discussions also covered the digitalisation of financial transactions, data protection and key considerations for businesses adopting new technologies.

A key topic was how to integrate AI into business operations in ways that match each company’s needs and resources. According to the speakers, AI can automate routine tasks, support information analysis and improve customer service, while enabling employees to focus on work that requires expertise, creativity and decision-making.
Metfone also shared its experience in expanding the use of AI and digital technology across business operations, customer service and operational management. Drawing on its experience in the Cambodian market and technological support from other Viettel Group companies, Metfone aims to connect local businesses with solutions that address their practical needs.

Through the discussion, business representatives gained opportunities to explore emerging technology trends, exchange experiences and assess how AI could be applied to their production and business activities. The event also helped strengthen connections between technology experts and Cambodia’s business community, as digital transformation becomes increasingly important to competitiveness and economic development.
