Turkey on Sunday condemned repeated Houthi attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport after a fresh projectile struck a passenger terminal, a day after a missile strike killed 13 people and injured 309.
The Saudi-led coalition said a projectile struck the terminal on Sunday and air defenses intercepted a missile nearby. The Civil Aviation Authority reported injuries but gave no number. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attacks and warned airlines against using Saudi airports and airspace.
Saudi aviation officials initially reported 12 dead and 309 injured in Saturday’s strike. India’s embassy later said an Indian national had died of injuries sustained in the attack, raising the toll to 13.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the repeated targeting by the Houthis of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh,” Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

It said the attacks deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure and civilians, in violation of international law and called for them to stop immediately.
The strikes come amid renewed fighting in Yemen, where Saudi Arabia backs the internationally recognized government against the Houthis. The airport had also been attacked earlier in the week, when three people were killed, according to Saudi reports.
