The Indian Overseas Congress Youth wing organised the demonstration with support from UK-based student and diaspora groups. Activist Dhruv Rathee addressed the gathering as the keynote speaker. He demanded Kumar’s replacement through an agreement between the government and opposition leader.
Rathee said the protests would end once both sides agreed on a suitable candidate. Demonstrators called for greater electoral transparency and stronger democratic institutions. However, their allegations have not independently established electoral wrongdoing.
