University of Tehran Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi has warned that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait will likely face serious consequences if the United States launches another strike on Iran.
Tehran will respond relentlessly to any attack against its sovereignty. In a recent interview, Marandi said Gulf states should be cautious in the coming weeks as tensions between Washington and Tehran threaten to escalate further.
“The regimes of Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, and Kuwait may not survive what comes next,” he warned.
Marandi said Iran’s response would be particularly severe if US President Donald Trump followed through on threats to destroy the country and its people.
“If Trump carries out his threats to destroy Iran, the country, the nation, the people, Iran will be relentless in the next war,” he said.
This means a fresh US attack could have consequences beyond Iran and put other Gulf governments at greater risk if the war spreads.
Marandi urged Gulf states to pay close attention to developments in the coming weeks.
The professor has previously warned that attacks on Iranian critical infrastructure could prompt Tehran to target similar facilities in Gulf Arab states.
In an April interview, he specifically mentioned Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar as easiest victims of the war.
