Aquarium Park has opened at the Bangladesh Air Force Museum in Agargaon, Dhaka, offering an aquarium gallery, a bird aviary and interactive activities for visitors of all ages.
The park also features a 40-foot artificial waterfall and offers a 50% admission discount for school visits to encourage learning beyond the classroom, according to the press release.
Designed for families, children, teenagers and groups of friends, the park combines recreation with opportunities to observe aquatic life, birds and nature up close.
The organisers said it aimed to provide an engaging leisure destination amid the capital's busy urban environment, bringing together entertainment, a connection with nature and practical experiences.
The aquarium gallery displays native and exotic fish species with varied colours, shapes and characteristics. Visitors can observe the fish, learn about their habitats and explore the exhibits with family and friends.
The bird aviary allows visitors to see a variety of exotic birds and observe their behaviour.
The park said the attraction could encourage children's curiosity about birds and wildlife while helping them develop a sense of responsibility towards living creatures.
Surrounded by greenery, the artificial waterfall provides a setting for visitors to spend time together, take photographs and enjoy a break from city life.
Interactive activities include fish feeding, a supervised fishing experience, bird photography and a 360-degree photo booth.
Fish feeding and supervised fishing offer opportunities to engage directly with aquatic life, while photography activities allow visitors to capture moments from their visit.
Through these attractions, the park aims to combine discovery, hands-on experiences and recreation in one destination.
It also seeks to help children and young people explore nature, biodiversity and wildlife through direct observation and practical learning.
Schools can arrange group visits and receive a 50% discount on admission tickets, allowing students to explore the park together.
