The 2026 Academy Museum Gala — a fundraiser to support the museum’s work in preserving and celebrating cinema — was heavy on the star power. Whether it was the night’s special honorees, including Charlize Theron and Colman Domingo, or the actors stepping out for some glamorous fun, the red carpet was filled with stellar sightings. Among them? Taylor Swift, who performed later in the evening.
Before heading inside to the main stage, Swift hit the step-and-repeat in custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson. The star opted for classic Hollywood glitz, choosing a strapless, icy-blue gown that featured delicate pleating and a laced-up detail at the front. She accessorised with a pair of platinum earrings set with 32.40 carats of diamonds, a gold ring set with 5.78 carats of diamonds and a platinum and diamond bracelet, all from Chopard’s haute joaillerie collection.
But it was Swift's hair, a loosely tousled lob that just about skimmed her shoulders and was completed by a perfectly blow-dried, sweeping side fringe, that really completed the look.

Swift proves just how versatile a long bob can be. That little bit of extra length makes all the difference – allowing for soft, retro-inspired curls that enhance her glossy, teddy bear-esque hair colour, which still look good when they drop out a little.
The ensemble fit right into Swift’s style playbook: when dressing for high-profile events, the singer loves a princess silhouette. Sure, she has lately embraced the sequin-covered showgirl aesthetic, but Swift can’t resist a romantic bit of chiffon or tulle, as we witnessed at affairs like the Country Music Awards and the Met Gala.
Being dressed by Anderson was another special touch, given that the designer was the name behind Swift’s top-secret wedding dress. (She wed football pro Travis Kelce back in July.)

Tonight marked one of Swift’s most high-profile sightings since attending the 2026 MTV VMAs last month, when she accepted the inaugural Artist Director Honors award and debuted her music video for the single “Patient Zero” wearing a sculptural Tamara Ralph design.
