The 2026 Genesis Championship, now in its 10th year, runs from the 22nd through the 25th at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
Genesis has hosted the tournament since 2017 to support the growth of men's golf in South Korea. In 2024 it was elevated to an event co-sanctioned by the KPGA Tour and the DP World Tour, and its total purse of $4 million (about 5.3 billion won) is the largest of any KPGA Tour event.
This year's tournament is a 72-hole stroke play event over four rounds, with a field of 126 players from the KPGA Tour, the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. The field includes defending champion Lee Jeong-hwan, this year's Open Championship winner Ryan Fox, who is making his first appearance on a Korean course, and PGA Tour players Kim Si-woo and Im Sung-jae.
The winner receives $680,000 in prize money and a Genesis GV80 hybrid.
The champion also earns 1,300 Genesis Points on the KPGA Tour, 835 Race to Dubai ranking points on the DP World Tour, and playing privileges on both the KPGA Tour and the DP World Tour for the next two years.

The highest-placing KPGA Tour player in the field will receive a spot in the 2027 Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.
The first player to record a hole-in-one on the 16th hole during the tournament will receive a GV70, and that player's caddie will receive a GV60.
Genesis is providing 67 vehicles, including the GV80 Coupe, the G90 and the electrified GV70, along with three Universe hydrogen fuel cell buses, to support tournament operations.
Nine vehicles will be on display around the course, including the GV80 hybrid, the GV90 Neolun and the GV60 Magma. A Genesis Magma Racing Zone will showcase the GMR-001 hypercar and the Genesis Magma Racing collection.
"In its 10th year, the Genesis Championship has established itself as an international stage where the world's top players compete," said Lee Si-hyuk, executive vice president and head of the Genesis Division. "This year as well, we plan to offer a wide range of viewing experiences and hands-on programs that golf fans, children and families can all enjoy together."
