An idol-turned-actress revealed her dating experiences during her idol days, surprising viewers.
On October 12th, a video titled “A Small but Special Han River Picnic, Want to Join?” was released on YouTube.
In the video, Lee Jooyeon, originally from the group After School, tried making rice burgers herself for a picnic at the Han River. Using ingredients her mother had prepared in advance, she started cooking but showed some clumsy moments, like using a bread knife to slice pickled radish.
When the production team asked if she had a signature dish, Lee Jooyeon replied, “I’m gradually figuring it out.” She added that she wants to challenge herself with tougher recipes and expressed a wish about marriage, saying, “If I can cook really well, maybe I could get married.”
When the team pointed out that she wasn’t washing the fruit, Lee Jooyeon joked, “I can’t look foolish. I need to get married,” prompting laughter.
Later, carrying the rice burger she made, Lee Jooyeon headed to the Han River and reminisced about her After School days.
When asked if she had visited the Han River often during her idol days, she honestly said, “I went there a lot back then. I went on many dates. I’ve done that too.”
She explained the reason was that “there weren’t many places to go at the time,” making Han River a popular dating spot.
Lee Jooyeon also shared that nowadays she doesn’t pay much attention to public eyes and moves around freely, and not many people recognize her.
Lee Jooyeon debuted in 2009 as a member of After School and has since been active as an actress. She previously got caught up in multiple dating rumors with BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon.
