Seahawks Named Top Trade Landing Spot for Buccaneers Veteran RB

The Seattle Seahawks have had mixed results so far this season, as they have a 3-2 record and are second in the NFC West.

The Seahawks lost their most recent game to the undefeated San Francisco 49ers by a 32-29 final score. Following this loss, it is fair to wonder if the Seahawks could look to add some more talent to their roster.

Now, as the Seahawks' season carries on, they are being connected to a running back from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox named the Seahawks as a potential trade landing spot for Buccaneers running back Kenneth Gainwell.

"At this point in the season, Gainwell would boost the backfield depth of multiple teams," Knox wrote. "Potential Suitors: Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks."

With the Seahawks needing help at the running back position right now, it would make sense for them to bring in a player like Gainwell. He would have the potential to give their offense a little bit of a boost, as he is still a solid running back at this stage in his career.

In five games this season with the Buccaneers, Gainwell has recorded 17 rushes and 44 rushing yards. This is after he had five touchdowns, 114 rushes, and 537 rushing yards in 17 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. With numbers like these, he would be an interesting player for the Seahawks to bring in. It will be interesting to see if they do just that from here.
