A multi-goal deficit proved too much for the Houston Dash to overcome Sunday.
The Dash's second-half comeback fell short in a 2-1 loss to the Orlando Pride at Shell Energy Stadium, extending Houston's winless streak to three games.
Danny Colaprico's goal in the 55th minute drew the Dash (8-6-14, 30 points) within a goal, but they could get no closer.
Orlando (11-14-3, 36) jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first half after Luana scored on a penalty in the 16th minute. Solai Washington then scored in the 31st minute for a 2-0 advantage.
The Dash next play Friday night at Chicago in their final road game of the season. Houston's season finale is Sunday, Nov. 1 against Portland at home.
