Josun Hotels & Resorts said on the 21st that it will host chefs from Japanese Michelin one-star restaurants at three venues — Ninth Gate at The Westin Josun Seoul and the Japanese restaurants Yamabuki and Homurang — for special course menus paired with sake.
Ninth Gate will open the series on Nov. 4 and 5 with a seven-course gala dinner prepared by chefs Takashi Tanno and Tatsuya Noda of nôl, a Michelin one-star restaurant in Tokyo. Nôl has also received a Michelin Green Star, awarded to restaurants that practice environmental protection and sustainability. Sake and Japanese wine will accompany the dishes on the first day, with sake and Japanese whisky served on the second.
Yamabuki and Homurang will host chef Masayasu Yonemura of Shinmonzen Yonemura, a Michelin one-star restaurant in Kyoto. Yamabuki will offer a seven-course lunch on Nov. 10 along with a special class led by sake expert Marie Chiba. Six types of sake selected to match the dishes will be served at dinner. Homurang will present Yonemura's eight-course kaiseki dinner with sake pairings on Nov. 11.
Reservations for the Yamabuki lunch open on the 21st of this month, while bookings for the Yamabuki dinner and the Homurang lunch and dinner open on the 30th.
