Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has visited the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, alongside his running mate, Damilola James.
Hamzat disclosed the visit in a post on his X account on Thursday, where he said the engagement provided an opportunity to reflect on the values that shape communities and the institutions that support residents.
“Our communities are shaped by the values we uphold and the institutions that support our people. These visits offer an opportunity to reflect on the kind of society we want to build,” he wrote.

The deputy governor said his focus remained on listening to Lagos residents, understanding their needs and building a state where development would improve everyday life.
“Our focus remains on listening to Lagosians, understanding their needs and building a state where progress makes a real difference in people’s everyday lives,” he added.

The visit comes ahead of the 2027 Lagos governorship election, in which Hamzat is the APC candidate.
PUNCH Online had earlier reported that Hamzat met with the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka.
Hamzat disclosed the earlier meeting in a post on Wednesday, saying they discussed the need for collective efforts to build a Lagos that works for all residents.

He said the engagement centred on their “shared responsibility” and the importance of working together to achieve a better future for the state.
The meetings form part of Hamzat’s engagements with religious leaders ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
