Jurors will be taken to the home where Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly murdered a Sydney couple using his police pistol.
The former police officer, 31, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies on February 19, 2024.
It has been alleged during his jury trial before the NSW Supreme Court that Mr Lamarre-Condon murdered Mr Baird “execution-style” in his kitchen before shooting Mr Davies through a bedroom door as he tried to call triple-0.
CCTV footage played in court captured Mr Lamarre-Condon wearing an Uber Eats rider disguise on Mr Baird’s street before the couple’s deaths, and hours later returning with cleaning gear.
The jury will be taken to Mr Baird’s Paddington home on Friday, with Justice Natalie Adams telling the jury NSW Police Senior Sergeant Bronwyn Lansley is expected to point some things in the home out to them.
“The purpose is not to give evidence or to hear evidence,” Justice Adams told the jury.
“The purpose of the view is for perspective and context, because it’s not always the same seeing it in photographs.”
Newly released CCTV has revealed the moment a Beau Lamarre-Condon walks down a TV presenter’s street with cleaning gear in the hours after he allegedly killed the man.
Hundreds of gruesome crime scene photos were earlier released by the court showing blood stains found throughout the home.
Ms Lansley was the lead investigator who examined the home in the days after the couple’s deaths, and previously told the jury Mr Davies’ DNA was found in a bloodstain on the wall of the journalist’s bedroom.
Mr Baird’s blood was found throughout the home and underneath the floor, with a partial match for Mr Baird’s DNA also found on a blood swab from a bullet found under the kitchen floor, according to court documents.
Sergeant Lansley told the jury the bullet travelled through a source of blood before penetrating the timber subfloor.
A partial match for Mr Baird’s DNA was found on a blood swab from the bullet, according to court documents.
It is alleged Mr Lamarre-Condon shot Mr Baird “execution-style”, with a forensic analysis report stating that the bullet found under the kitchen floor was discharged “in a downwards angle”.
