One lucky MLB fan now owns an unusual piece of baseball memorabilia that may depict Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose. Sorta-kinda.
You may have seen social media posts about a viral "Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds Coffee Table" on Facebook Marketplace that looks (debatably) inspired by the Reds legend and Big Red Machine member.
Barstool Sports writer and podcaster Dan Katz (aka @BarstoolBigCat) recently purchased the table, according to an X post from the media personality.
"Pete Rose Coffee Table has arrived. Easily the worst thing I’ve purchased," the Oct. 21 post reads.

The table was listed for $1,250 on Facebook Marketplace. Its 66x36 tempered-glass top is supported by a sculpture of the sliding player. The listing, which had been online for seven weeks, described the table as being in fair condition.
Former owners John and Angela Parsons, originally from Lima, told The Enquirer they bought the table from Dudley's Auction in Inverness, Florida. John Parsons said he was told it once sat in the lobby of a Brannen Bank location in Citrus Hills, Florida, but said he has been unable to verify that account.
Parsons was also told the baseball player depicted in the sculpture was Rose, which is why he put Rose's name in the Facebook Marketplace description. He said others have told him the player resembles former Reds catcher Johnny Bench.
Parsons said he couldn't find another table like it online and thought it might be one of a kind. Because he isn't a Reds fan, he decided to sell it to someone who might appreciate it.
"It would be a great piece for someone who's a fan with a man cave," Parsons said.
And here we are.
The Enquirer has reached out to Dudley's Auction for more information but has not received a response.
