Ryan Rollins is expected to shoulder more responsibility for the Milwaukee Bucks after the Giannis Antetokounmpo era in Cream City came to an end. After a breakout campaign, Rollins will also share backcourt duties with newly acquired Bucks guard Tyler Herro.
“I think the biggest thing with us is pushing the pace and creating early offense… me and him have good communication… the more we play we’ll understand each other more,” Rollins commented during his media availability when talking about his new backcourt partner in Herro.

The Bucks acquired Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat in a deal that sent two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and veteran forward Bobby Portis to Miami. Losing Antetokounmpo leaves a major gap on both ends of the floor, but Rollins and Herro could help ease the loss through their combined scoring and playmaking abilities.
Milwaukee is adding a proven scorer and capable facilitator in Herro, who has earned Sixth Man of the Year honors during his career. The 26 year old has played 394 NBA games, averaging 19.5 points and 4.1 assists per contest. He has also converted 45.0 percent of his field goal attempts and 38.2 percent of his three pointers since entering the league after his time with Kentucky.

After a productive 2025-2026 campaign, Rollins aims to carry that momentum into the next season. He finished the year averaging 17.3 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Milwaukee opens the new season Wednesday, facing the Washington Wizards away from home.
