Five-star forward Benjamin Berrouet has scheduled a visit to Rutgers,
The Dynamic Prep product will be on campus on Feb. 6, which will be his fourth official visit. Berrouet also has visits scheduled with Kentucky, UCLA, and Illinois.
Berrouet’s recruitment has heated up recently as he holds offers from north of 35 schools. He is currently ranked as the No. 11 player nationally and No. 3 player in Texas, according to 247Sports.
The publication also reports that Berrouet could be available one year early if he decides to reclassify to 2027, which is something he has considered.
If Berrouet were to reclassify and ultimately chose Rutgers, it would add to a class in 2027 that is off to a hot start. Rutgers currently has the No. 7 ranked recruiting class after three commits.
Four-star Brandon Woodard announced his commitment to Rutgers first. He is currently ranked No. 72 overall in the class and the No. 3 player in Maryland, according to 247Sports. The 6-foot-8 prospect joined fellow four-star RJ Moore, who is Rutgers’ highest-rated recruit in the class at No. 48 nationally and No. 1 in North Carolina. The Scarlet Knights also have a commitment from three-star guard Korey Francis.
