If August was the month for festivals and pub gardens, September and October are the months for cosy TV. There’s plenty to be getting into, with the return of Strictly Come Dancing, The Gentleman and The Celebrity Traitors making it completely acceptable to ditch your evening plans for a night on the sofa. And while there are plenty of other reasons to tune into the latter (the round tables alone make for the juiciest TV I’ve watched in ages), Claudia Winkleman’s wardrobe in The Traitors is up there. Plus, there’s something about seeing Winkleman walk about Ardross Castle (this time with a bunch of celebrities!) in a pair of skinny jeans and a V-neck jumper that makes autumn dressing a little bit less gloomy.

Through four seasons of The Traitors and one season of The Celebrity Traitors, Winkleman's outfits have been nothing but consistent; gothic, country-house chic, and with each look steeped in the kind of tweed-infused glamour made only for a woman who's about to tell a group of 'players’ their next mission. It’s a look that has been synonymous with her time on the show, and she continues to turn to one particular British brand: Holland Cooper.

Founded at Badminton Horse Trials by Jade Holland Cooper, it’s no surprise that it’s become the go-to for Scottish Highland dressing. For jeans, Winkleman opts for its Biker or Jodhpur Jeans, which have a subtle equestrian influence and look just as good styled with a chunky cashmere knit as it does a pair of riding boots. Alternatively, for a round table, or much more likely in our case, a pub table, dress Winkleman’s favourite Ariella Blouse (she owns it in both berry and black!) up with a pair of tailored trousers or a pleated mini skirt.

Of course, the coats are a huge talking point of The Traitors, so it only feels fitting that Holland Cooper gets the credit for a couple of Winkleman’s most iconic looks. In a look which showed the power of a good investment piece as well as an everyday ‘uniform’, Winkleman wore the soft navy blackwatch Full Length Regency Coat with a pair of her go-to leggings and a knit – a combination she’s very much a fan of replicating.
If we can take one thing from Winkleman’s The Traitors wardrobe, it’s that countryside dressing needn’t be twee or repetitive. Plus, in this season of The Celebrity Traitors, even Professor Hannah Fry is on board, as she's already been spotted wearing Holland Cooper's Belgravia Blazer - further proof that Holland Cooper’s pieces are always faithfuls you can rely on.
