KUALA LUMPUR: Oasis Harvest Corporation Bhd has appointed Datuk Wira Dr Lim Zhao Qi, the group CEO of European Credit Investment Bank Ltd, as a non-independent non-executive director, effective Oct 13, 2026.
The appointment brings extensive investment banking and corporate leadership experience to the board as the group advances its business expansion and diversification strategy.
Lim has held senior leadership positions across financial services, technology, property development, and hospitality.
Since 2014, he has served as executive director and group CEO of European Credit Investment Bank Ltd.
He was also appointed chairman of the Labuan Investment Banks Association in May 2024.
His appointment comes as Oasis continues to expand its food and beverage (F&B) operations and diversify into event management and public relations services.
As the group broadens its business portfolio, Lim’s background in investment banking and corporate management is expected to bring practical board-level perspectives on capital allocation, investment evaluation, and strategic business development.
Oasis executive director Ch’ng Eu Vern welcomed Lim to the board and said his extensive experience in investment banking and corporate leadership will be valuable as Oasis enters its next phase of growth.
“With the group expanding its business portfolio, we believe his expertise will strengthen our capabilities in evaluating investment opportunities, maintaining financial discipline, and ensuring that our growth initiatives are aligned with long-term shareholder interests,” he said.
Oasis continues to develop its core F&B portfolio, which includes De.Wan 1958, Café Chef Wan, and Uncle Don’s, while preparing to roll out a new Kopitiam concept targeting the mass-market dining segment.
The group has also diversified into event management and public relations services through its 80%-owned subsidiary, Contagious (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, broadening its operational activities and revenue streams.
Moving forward, the group remains focused on executing its expansion plans, maintaining prudent capital management, and strengthening its business fundamentals to deliver sustainable long-term value to shareholders.
