LG Wireless Wallpaper TV Wins Time Honor

(Source=LG Electronics) LG Electronics said on Oct. 16 that its wireless wallpaper TV was named to the home appliances category of Time magazine’s “Best Inventions of 2026.” Each year, Time selects innovative products through a comprehensive evaluation of originality, efficacy, ambition and impact, and this year it announced a total of 300 inventions, including the LG SIGNATURE OLED W. Time magazine highly evaluated the product for overcoming the design and installation limitations of existing wallpaper TVs. In the past, wallpaper TVs had the inconvenience of requiring drive hardware to be placed separately outside the set in order to maintain a thin profile. By contrast, the new model applies ultra-slim technology to all major components, including the panel, power board, main board and speakers, embedding them inside the body while still maintaining a form that fits completely flush to the wall. Its core technology, the “Zero Connect Box,” completely removes the complex connection cables around the screen. When peripheral devices such as a set-top box are connected to the Zero Connect Box rather than the TV body, video and audio data can be transmitted wirelessly without loss at 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate from as far as 10 m away. In particular, the Zero Connect Box in this model is 35% smaller than that of previous wireless TVs, improving space efficiency. In terms of picture quality as well, the product fully reflects LG Electronics’ expertise from being the global OLED TV market leader for 13 consecutive years. The “Hyper Radiant Color” technology is realized through the synergy of the third-generation Alpha 11 AI Processor and the “Reflection Free Premium” panel, which minimizes light reflection. This is regarded as a key element in providing viewers with a clearer and more immersive visual experience.
