An idol-turned-actor, who was previously in a public relationship with an actress, revealed his thoughts on dating within the industry and marriage.
On the October 9th episode of variety show Moo No Plan 4, Lee Joon visited a popular restaurant in Ulsan with Jun Hyun Moo and Kwak Tube, where they discussed marriage and dating.
Kwak Tube asked Lee Joon, born in 1988, if he was thinking about marriage. Lee Joon replied, “If it happens, it happens. If not, it doesn’t. I’m neither open nor closed to the idea.”
When asked if he preferred dating someone in the same industry, he responded, “I want to avoid it as much as possible.”
He then explained the kind of relationship he hopes for, saying, “I don’t want to fight at all or feel or cause resentment. I want a relationship like the one I have with Hyun Moo hyung.”
Hearing this, Jun Hyun Moo agreed, saying, “It’s the same for me. I want someone who respects each other’s lives.” They both prefer a relationship where they can comfortably respect each other’s lifestyles.
On the other hand, married Kwak Tube offered a different perspective, saying, “But there’s still love involved.”
Lee Joon humorously responded, “You have to live for yourself. Don’t rely on others,” sparking laughter. Their differing views on marriage and relationships became another topic of conversation during the meal.
Lee Joon debuted as part of the group MBLAQ and has expanded his career into acting, appearing in both dramas and variety shows.
Lee Joon previously dated actress Jung So Min publicly. The two met through the KBS 2TV drama My Father Is Strange and confirmed their relationship in 2018 before eventually breaking up.
