Fabian Hürzeler is expected to rotate for Brighton’s trip to Jablonec, with Pascal Struijk and Femi Azeez missing and Georginio Rutter in line to lead the attack.
Brighton are third in the Premier League and beat Kauno Žalgiris 4-0 on matchday one, with Rutter scoring twice. This is the first of five successive away games in 16 days, with Liverpool away on Sunday. Jablonec lost 3-2 at Freiburg and are unbeaten in seven European home matches.
Brighton team news
Struijk has a minor problem and Hürzeler said he should be back soon, while Azeez is still being eased back. Evan Ferguson (ankle) and Stefanos Tzimas (knee) remain out long term, and Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Zadok Yohanna are also unavailable.
Hürzeler expects changes after Sunday’s 5-0 win over Crystal Palace. Costinha, Michael Svoboda, Jack Hinshelwood, Matt O’Riley, Ibrahim Osman and Rutter are all pushing for recalls, with Hinshelwood and O’Riley having scored against Kauno Žalgiris. Hürzeler said loan signing Promise David, who is moving closer to form, could get minutes against Jablonec but refused to confirm a start. He also warned that Jablonec play out from the back and defend well without the ball, and that Brighton must play at their highest level.
Brighton predicted lineup
Brighton possible starting XI: Verbruggen; Costinha, Svoboda, Dunk, Boscagli; Gross, O’Riley; Gomez, Hinshelwood, Osman; Rutter
