The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced in a statement that the airport "was attacked on Sunday evening, amid the continued blatant attacks targeting civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom."
The authority explained that "damage assessment and verification of the safety of the facilities are underway, in coordination with the relevant authorities."
