Nestlé Lanka’s flagship malted food drink brand, NESTOMALT, has won a Gold Dragon at the Dragons of Asia Awards 2026 for its Avurudu campaign,“බලය ජවය ශක්තිය පිරි අපේම අවුරුදු” (Our Very Own New Year Filled with Power, Strength and Energy). The campaign was recognized for its effectiveness across strategy, concept, execution and results, placing NESTOMALT among leading brands celebrated across Asia.
Built on the belief that the true strength of Sri Lanka lies in its people, the campaign reimagined one of the country’s most cherished cultural celebrations by placing the people who power the nation at its heart. Through authentic stories from across Sri Lanka, NESTOMALT shone a spotlight on fishermen who brave the seas, farmers who nurture the land, tea pluckers who support one of the country’s most iconic industries, and tuk-tuk drivers who keep communities connected. The campaign brought a fresh perspective to Avurudu while staying rooted in the spirit and values of the brand.
Drawing on its long-standing association with power, strength and energy, NESTOMALT translated these familiar brand values into a contemporary celebration of the resilience and determination of the Sri Lankan people. For a brand that has been part of the nation’s life for over six decades, the recognition reinforces its ability to draw on its deep cultural heritage in ways that remain relevant to Sri Lankan consumers today.
This enduring connection takes on added significance as Nestlé Lanka marks 120 years of operations in Sri Lanka, a journey shaped by generations of consumers and communities across the country. As one of Nestlé Lanka’s most loved brands, NESTOMALT reflects the close relationship the company has built with Sri Lankan consumers, becoming part of the moments, traditions and experiences they share.
Established in Sri Lanka in 1906, Nestlé Lanka has been part of Sri Lankan lives for 120 years, providing consumers with tasty and nutritious products that have been part of Sri Lankan lives for generations. Today, the company manufactures over 90% of the products sold locally at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kurunegala, upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
