Police in Atlanta have reported the arrests of two fairly prominent rappers — Nino Paid, whose real name is Jacquawn Andrews, and Warhol.SS, whose real name is Zahair Myles — in conjunction with the fatal April 2026 shooting of 29-year-old Keion Borders. Both rappers face charges of murder, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. They're both being held without bond.
According to a statement from Atlanta police, they responded to a call about a late-night shooting and found Keion Borders, who had "sustained multiple gunshot wounds." Borders was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, but he died from his injuries while in the hospital.
The 29-year-old Chicago rapper Warhol.SS started his career in 2015 and became a minor figure in the SoundCloud-rap wave. His most recent album I Can't Feel My Face, a collaboration with Atlanta rapper B6, came out in April. He voluntarily surrendered to police and is being held in Fulton County Jail. He faces an additional charge of criminal attempt to commit a felony.
Nino Paid, 25, is from Landover, Maryland, and he signed with the Sony imprint Signal Records after going viral with the 2023 single "Pain & Possibilities." He was a XXL Freshman last year, and his most recent album Somewhere Over The Rainbow came out to some critical acclaim in August. Pitchfork reports that he was identified as an accomplice through Ring-camera doorbell footage. Border patrol reportedly arrested him Sep. 1 when he was attempting to return to the country after a tour date in Toronto. He's being held at Wayne County Jail in Michigan, pending extradition to Georgia.
Police have not identified a motive for the shooting.
