Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd.), have been named chairman and co-chairman, respectively, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in the state.
Fintiri, who leads the APC in Adamawa, approved the composition of the council to coordinate the party’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Sunday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.
According to the statement, Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, will serve as Deputy Chairman I, while the APC governorship candidate in the state, Ahmed Galadima Aminu, has been appointed Deputy Chairman II.
The statement also named Titus Solomon as Director-General of the campaign council, with Peter Kevin appointed Campaign Director.
The council is expected to coordinate campaigns for APC candidates contesting elections at all levels, from the presidential election to the State Houses of Assembly.

Its membership comprises party stalwarts, stakeholders, youth representatives and women leaders drawn from the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
The statement said the composition was intended to promote inclusivity and strengthen the party’s grassroots engagement across the state.
Fintiri charged members of the council to work together and ensure the APC secures victory in the 2027 general elections.
The announcement comes a day after the APC formally launched its presidential campaign in Kaduna State as preparations intensify for the next general elections.
