(CNS): Police arrested two men from West Bay on Monday as they were conducting “a proactive anti-burglary operation” in North Side after an alarm went off on Water Cay Road. The suspects, who were located with the use of the police drone, have been charged with burglary and criminal trespass.
The RCIPS said officers operating the drone were able to identify and track two men fleeing the location and take them into custody. Then, assisted by coast guard officers, the police also found stolen property as they search the nearby shore. Other residents in the Rum Point area reported that a quantity of cash, jewellery and personal items were stolen from their unit.
Both suspects were due to appear in court, while the burglaries remain under police investigation.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the Water Cay Road area between Sunday night and the early morning hours of Monday, 12 October, are asked to call Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
