The 71-year-old pope had part of his right lung removed last week after a nodule was discovered. It was later revealed that the pope has lung cancer.
The pope's personal physician can now confirm that tests show the cancer has not spread, meaning no further surgery is needed.
The pope left the hospital on Sunday and was able to meet 30,000 cheering spectators in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday, where he drove around in his popemobile, reports Rai.
Leo XIV's next longer trip will be to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru in the first half of November.
