MoneyHash has collaborated with South African Fintech company, Ozow, to expand access to local online payment methods for merchants operating in South Africa.
The partnership enables businesses using MoneyHash’s payment orchestration platform to integrate Ozow without developing and maintaining a separate technical connection.
Merchants can add Ozow’s payment services to their existing payment infrastructure while managing multiple providers through a single platform.
“Having worked within South Africa’s payments ecosystem, I’ve seen both how quickly the market has evolved and the complexity businesses face as they scale their payment operations. There is a significant opportunity for orchestration to connect strong local payment infrastructure with businesses that want to grow within South Africa and across the continent.” Said Hwan Lee, Regional Director for Africa, MoneyHash.
Ozow offers several payment options, including pay by bank, card payments, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. Some of its services are voucher payments, cryptocurrency payments, and instant payouts and withdrawals available 24/7.
“Over the past 12 years, we’ve seen South Africa’s digital payments landscape evolve significantly, alongside growing demand from businesses for simpler and more flexible ways to accept payments. Our partnership with MoneyHash creates another avenue for merchants to access Ozow, while reducing the complexity of integrating and managing multiple payment solutions.” Added Catherine Korsten, Chief Growth Officer, Ozow.
For MoneyHash, the integration strengthens it’s presence in Africa by linking merchants to established local payments providers. It’s platform supports payment routing, transaction management and reporting, allowing businesses to synchronize multiple payment methods and processors through one system.
The partnership also follows MoneyHash’s appointment of Hwan Lee as Regional Director for Africa. Lee previously held a leadership position at Ozow, bringing experience in South Africa’s payments industry to MoneyHash’s expansion strategy.
As merchants are increasingly looking beyond traditional card payments, partnerships like these are significant, especially for businesses expanding into new markets.
