INDIA bloc leaders begin protest march to Supreme Court over Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation

Leaders of the INDIA opposition bloc began a protest march in the national capital on Monday, October 12, 2026. Setting off from the Constitution Club of India toward the Supreme Court, the demonstration seeks to show strong dissent against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over contentious electoral roll irregularities and allegations of “vote theft.” Opposition leaders led by Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, have united for a major protest march.
