Wildcard contestants Rishabh Jaiswal and Jaswanth Boppanna were sent to the Basement in the latest episode of Rise and Fall Season 2.
As the race for control intensified, Niharika Tiwari found herself with a choice that could change both the Penthouse prize pot and the Basement’s fate. Pawan Singh offered her two options: send both Rishabh and Jaswanth Bopanna to the Basement and double the Penthouse prize pot, or send just one of them downstairs and leave the money unchanged.
As the Ultimate Ruler, Niharika chose the bigger gamble of doubling the prize pot and sending both men downstairs. Her reasoning was simple: her friends were no longer in the Basement.
The decision soon became the talk of the Tower, with Karan Patel, Shehzad Poonawalla and Niharika speculating about the trouble Rishabh and Jaswanth could face in the Basement. But while some were busy predicting the duo’s fate, Swara Bhasker’s conversation with the duo irritated Karan and Shehzad.
As Rishabh and Jaswanth settled into their new reality downstairs, Pawan, too, made his way to the Basement, where the conversations took a more candid turn. He opened up about once feeling underconfident and nervous about performing alongside actresses, before explaining why he prefers to keep his interactions with women limited. When asked about it, he had a perfectly timed explanation: “Jaha mein kuch bola, woh controversy ka roop pakad leta hai”.
But even as Pawan brought his trademark candour to the room, old disagreements refuse to stay buried. Sonam confronted Priyanka Chahar Choudhary over what she saw as a failure to stand by her own words, going so far as to call her a liar. Their icy exchange brought trust and loyalty back into question, with the Workers gathering to discuss Priyanka and her equations.
Meanwhile, the Workers got a shot at Takhta Palat in a printing press challenge. The Penthouse held Rs 15 lakh, while the Basement had Rs 7.3 lakh.
The task required the Workers to print pamphlets featuring tags for the Rulers, match each pamphlet to the correct colour and deliver it to the designated boxes outside the Rulers’ house.
The Rulers chose the hardest level, leaving the Workers with just one hour to print and deliver 50 pamphlets. If they succeeded, the Workers would walk away with Rs 12 lakh; if they failed, Rs 8 lakh would be added to the Rulers’ prize pot.
Karan took charge as supervisor, while Priyanka joined from the Workers’ side. Before the task could get underway, Karan spotted a potential loophole and raised the possibility of disqualification. Swara suggested consulting the Workers first, but what could have been a discussion quickly turned into a clash, with Karan and Shehzad questioning whose side she is really playing for. Swara refused to be pushed around, and the disagreement escalated into a shouting match.
Meanwhile, Niharika urged the Workers to read the rules closely, pointing out a loophole on the Rulers’ side, a move that brought her into a face-off with Shehzad, whom she told not to interfere.
