Samsung C&T (028260), winner of the top award in the residential landscape category, is setting a new standard for apartment complex landscaping through an original design philosophy and differentiated engineering. The company goes beyond simply adding green space and rest areas, building residential environments where nature, people and space come together to improve residents' quality of life.
Samsung C&T is differentiating and refining its residential landscaping through Nature Gallery, the landscaping philosophy behind its Raemian brand. Under the brand direction of "life with greater depth," the company has set three core values: originality, which preserves the distinctive character of nature; people landscape, which builds scenery centered on people; and refined design, meaning a polished design where nature and people blend together.

To bring this philosophy into apartment complexes, Samsung C&T reviews every element of landscaping together — planting, water features, facilities, paving and scenic elements. The aim is to create landscapes in which nature, architecture, facilities and human activity connect organically, while respecting each complex's location and surroundings. The company also continues to develop landscaping products and refine its designs to raise the quality of Nature Gallery.
Moving away from uniform landscape design, Samsung C&T creates tailored spaces that reflect each complex's distinct site conditions, architectural plans and how residents use the space — a competitive strength that sets its landscaping apart. Beyond natural and scenic quality, the designs account for changes in season and time of day so that residents encounter varied scenery in daily life. The company is credited with developing landscaping not as a mere ancillary facility or decorative element but as living space that supports residents' rest, walks, interaction and activities, and as a key factor determining the residential value of an apartment complex.

Samsung C&T's landscaping has already won recognition at global design awards. Nature Gallery, the Raemian landscaping product, won the grand prize at the International Federation of Landscape Architects Asia-Pacific Region (IFLA APR) awards in 2023, and landscaping applied at complexes including Raemian One Bailey and Raemian One Perla won honors at the Red Dot Design Award in 2024 and the IDEA Design Award last year. This year, the landscaping at Raemian One Perla and Jamsil Raemian I'Park won awards at the IDEA Design Award and the Asian Design Prize.
A Samsung C&T official said the consecutive wins at global design awards reflect more than the quality of individual sites. "They are the result of a continuous quality improvement system that runs from landscaping product development to design refinement, on-site execution and evaluation by outside expert bodies," the official said. "We will continue to advance landscape design centered on nature and people, raising the product appeal and brand value of apartment complexes while contributing to qualitative improvement in Korea's residential environment and housing culture."
