The Princess of Wales’ diet has long fascinated fans, as the 44-year-old maintains an incredibly fit physique and glowing skin. And while she rarely comments publicly on her daily menu, various reports and royal engagement details offer insight into her day-to-day meals.
- Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has a high fibre diet, according to various reports
- Roughly 95% of adults in the UK are failing to meet their recommended fibre intake
- Feel's Fibre Jelly is the easiest and most delicious way to get enough fibre in your diet
Among the meals rumoured to be loved by Catherine are her homemade watermelon salad with feta and onion (especially in summer), a green morning smoothie with kale, matcha, spinach, romaine lettuce and blueberries, and spicy curries, including lentil ones. What do all of these dishes have in common? They’re high in fibre.

Having a high fibre diet likely helps the Princess’ skin thanks to the gut-skin axis, which is the direct communication line between your stomach and your skin, where your digestion and gut health directly influence skin appearance. It could also contribute to her fit physique, given fibre is pivotal to digestive health and maintaining a healthy weight.
And while it seems effortless for the future Queen to get enough fibre in her diet, this isn’t the case for most Brits. Roughly 95% of adults in the UK are failing to meet their recommended fibre intake, according to the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS). Most of us get around 14g of fibre a day, but we should be getting 30g – that’s some gap to close.
How to easily get enough fibre like Princess Kate
The good news is that getting enough fibre in your diet is easy, as you can use fibre jelly to get a solid daily dose of it. For example, the Fibre Jelly sachets from Feel contain 9.5g of fibre, which is about a head of broccoli worth. And let's be real, an on-the-go sachet is much easier to eat than an entire broccoli head.

Feel’s jelly sachets cost roughly the same as the equivalent vegetables needed to get the equal amount of fibre, starting at just 84p a day. They’re built on four fibre sources and four superfoods to nourish your gut from within. They’re probably the easiest, most enjoyable and most affordable way for you to get as much fibre in your diet as Catherine.

Given that I fall squarely within the 95% of UK adults who struggle to meet daily fibre targets, I decided to test Feel’s Fibre Jelly. With a penchant for sweet treats, I rely heavily on fruit for my five-a-day, meaning my vegetable intake falls well short of the recommended 30 grams of daily fibre.
The passion fruit flavour is delicious. The individual sachet design slots easily into my routine, allowing me to keep a supply tucked into my many handbags, bathroom drawers, work desk and kitchen cupboards so I never miss a daily dose.
The physical benefits have been noticeable too. My digestion feels much stabler than before, and I no longer experience the heavy post-meal fatigue that typically plagues my afternoons, which I’m assuming is driven by the steadying effect of increased fibre on my blood sugar.

The main course was pot roasted Windsor pheasant with spiced quince, stuffed cabbage and braised fondant potatoes. As well as a selection of seasonal vegetables served with the savoury dishes, attendees at the dinner had individual baked alaska with Balmoral plum and Windsor Estate honey ice cream for dessert.
King Charles threw the spectacular state banquet for the Sultan of Oman in Windsor Castle's vast St George's Hall, pulling out all the stops to entertain 160 guests at the key diplomatic event. It marked the first time a Sultan of Oman has visited the UK for 44 years.
