Canadian fans really love Bruno Mars — so much so that the American singer has sold out five shows at B.C. Place this week on The Romantic Tour. That breaks all previous attendance records for the Vancouver venue.

Mars previously sold out the same number of concerts at Rogers Centre in Toronto from May 23 to 31. Those numbers make it clear that the demand to catch the artist and his crack backing band The Hooligans is huge.
His fourth album, The Romantic, entered the Canadian charts at number one and the lead single, I Just Might, topped the Billboard Hot 100. It was the first time one of his tunes entered the charts in the top position, although he has had nine other tracks reach No. 1. The album has been certified platinum in Canada, with sales over 80,000 units.

Mars will perform almost all of the album’s tracks on the tour. That doesn’t mean classics from across his career will be getting passed over. With set lists averaging 26 tracks, you’ll be hearing everything from Just the Way You Are and Locked Out of Heaven, to the irresistible Mark Ronson track Uptown Funk and Lady Gaga collaboration Die With a Smile.
Also featured on this tour is a set from Silk Sonic, Mars’ duo with Anderson .Paak.
