The team behind Official Trump (TRUMP) has generated an estimated $779.4 million to $1.16 billion from the meme coin.
The estimates shared by CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju on October 17 come as TRUMP has plunged approximately 97% from its January 2025 all-time high.
CryptoQuant’s data, covering January 1, 2025, to October 1, 2026, puts confirmed realized profit at $779.4 million, based on stablecoin outflows and TRUMP transfers to labeled exchanges.
The upper-bound estimate reaches $1.16 billion when transfers to unidentified custody or external addresses are included.
However, these transfers do not necessarily indicate completed sales, so the higher figure cannot be treated entirely as realized cash profit.
The data shows profits rising in several steps during 2025 before largely plateauing toward the end of the year.
TRUMP reached an all-time high of $73 on January 19, 2025, shortly after its launch. By October 17, 2026, its price had fallen to $1.80, representing a decline of approximately 97.5%.
To this end, an investor who bought at the peak and held the tokens would have lost about 97.5% of the investment’s market value.
A $1,000 investment would be worth roughly $25, excluding fees. However, individual losses vary depending on purchase prices and selling decisions.
Controversy around Trump crypto involvement
The estimates add to scrutiny of cryptocurrency ventures associated with Donald Trump and his family.
A June 2026, Reuters investigation estimated that the family earned approximately $2.3 billion from four crypto-related ventures between mid-2024 and April 2026, including about $616 million attributed to the TRUMP meme coin.
These figures cover multiple ventures and different periods, so they should not be added directly to CryptoQuant’s estimates.
Launched in January 2025 on Solana, Official Trump allocated 80% of its token supply to entities associated with its creators, subject to a multi-year vesting schedule.
