Limpopo-born singer Makhadzi has made a heartfelt plea to her fans, urging them to support her upcoming one-woman show by buying tickets before prices go up.
Makhadzi, who has built a massive following as one of South Africa's most energetic performers, is headlining her own stadium show on 24 December 2026 at Peter Mokaba Stadium. Speaking candidly to her fanbase, known as Khadzinators, she made clear just how much the event means to her.
"Of course, guys, I'm a human being. I'm expecting humans to come and fill up that stadium. I don't have robots, guys. If you don't buy tickets, you're going to be embarrassing me. Please go buy tickets, even though you're not my fan. Come and make my dreams come true," she said.
Legends and a mystery international ct
Beyond the emotional appeal, Makhadzi is also putting together what promises to be a star-studded line-up. In a post on X, she asked fans to nominate legendary artists from their childhoods, sharing that she wants to honour those who laid the foundation for the musicians of today. She listed Dr Colbert Mukwevho, Dr Thomas Chauke, Dr Zozo, Segere Beats, and Dr Papa Penny as personal childhood heroes, adding that she wished the late Brenda Fassie and Lebo Mathosa could have been part of the celebration.
"Seeing them performing at my show will not be all about money but to pay respect to them," she wrote, inviting fans to drop their own suggestions in the comments.
She also teased a headline international guest who rarely performs in South Africa, saying the artist personally confirmed her attendance because she is a Khadzinator herself. Makhadzi promised to reveal the mystery guest's poster by month-end.
On the ticket pricing front, she revealed that her team had been pushing to increase prices but that she had been holding them back out of consideration for her fans. She warned, however, that the grace period would not last beyond month-end.
