PETALING JAYA: National men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has applied for an interim injunction to bar his father and sister from making certain decisions involving the finances and management of LZJ Management amid an ongoing legal dispute.
The application was filed on July 2 at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, Berita Harian reported.
Besides his father Lee Chee Hin and older sister Lee Zii Yii, Zii Jia also named his younger brother Lee Tao and LZJ Management as respondents in the suit.
Zii Jia, who is ranked 56th in the world, wants Chee Hin and Zii Yii, who are directors in the company, barred from approving director's fees, allowances, bonuses or other financial benefits for themselves.
The shuttler is also seeking to restrain decisions on the appointment and removal of directors, the appointment of the company secretary, the disposal of assets, the issuance of new shares and changes in shareholding structures.
Zii Jia contends that he holds a 90% stake in LZJ Management while Zii Yii holds 9% and Lee Tao 1%.
He also wants a court order for LZJ Management to hold an extraordinary general meeting to discuss the company's management and governance.
