Everland said on the 12th that it is holding an autumn festival through Nov. 22, featuring parades decorated with pumpkins and skeletons, a circus show and nighttime fireworks.
During the festival, the theme park runs the Smiley Pumpkin Parade along its parade route and at Carnival Square during daytime hours. Floats and performers decorated with pumpkins and skeletons march to music, and the program includes segments in which visitors take part directly. A roughly 15-minute show called the Ppu-Ppa Band, in which Everland's animal characters appear as a band, also made its debut this autumn.
At Grand Stage, an indoor venue, the circus show "Wings of Memory" is staged twice a day. At night, the Moonlight Parade features large floats decorated with 1 million light bulbs. A fireworks show called "Guardians of Light," combining thousands of fireworks, large object-shaped drone flights and laser effects, is held daily.
The park also offers programs for observing animals or seeking a scare. The Wild Savanna Expedition lets visitors walk through Lost Valley to observe animals, while the Night Safari offers encounters with big cats after dark. At Bloody City Zero, a horror theme zone marking its 10th anniversary this year, visitors become survivors in a zombie-infested city and carry out missions.
Autumn flowers and limited-edition merchandise are also on hand. Marigolds and cosmos are in bloom at Four Seasons Garden, and the park has released more than 30 new products themed on animal costumes and the autumn festival. It is also selling more than 20 items featuring characters modeled on real animals living at Everland, including alpacas and sloths. Restaurants are offering seasonal menu items such as bitterballen, a Dutch fried meat snack, spicy bibimbap with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province black pork, and chestnut latte.
