Rockford will host the nation’s largest girls baseball tournament for a second consecutive year when Baseball For All Nationals returns to the region July 20-24, 2027, alongside the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup.
The event is expected to once again bring youth athletes from across the United States and abroad to northern Illinois, according to a community announcement.
GoRockford and Baseball For All announced the tournament’s return after a 2026 event that attracted more than 1,100 players and coaches. Participants ranged in age from 6 to 18 and represented the United States, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Curaçao and Australia, according to Baseball For All.
“Welcoming Baseball For All Nationals alongside the Women’s Baseball World Cup creates an incredible opportunity for young players to see where their passion for baseball can take them. Rockford is proud to build on its women’s baseball legacy by supporting the next generation and welcoming players, coaches and families from around the world,” said Lindsay Arellano, vice president of sales and service at GoRockford.
GoRockford will again provide funding and event support for the tournament. According to the announcement, the event helps attract visiting teams and families to area hotels, restaurants and businesses while reinforcing Rockford’s position as a destination for girls and women’s baseball.
“We are thrilled to come back to Rockford,” said Justine Siegal, founder of Baseball For All. “Girls get to play in the city where the Rockford Peaches from the All-American Girls’ Professional Baseball League originally played while also having the opportunity to watch the best players in the world compete at the Women’s Baseball World Cup.”
Tournament sites planned across region
Baseball For All said plans for the 2027 tournament include games at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, Rock Valley College, Beyer Stadium, ABC Stadium and Beloit College.
“Events at the Rockford Park District sports facilities generate meaningful economic activity for local hotels, restaurants, retailers, transportation providers, and small businesses throughout the region,” said Louis Mateus, Mercyhealth Sportscore Complexes general manager.
Mateus said the park district’s staff supports major sports tourism events through field maintenance, operations, parking management, concessions and tournament logistics.
“Welcoming the nation’s largest girls’ baseball tournament again reflects the strength of our facilities, our people, and our commitment to making the region a premier sports destination,” Mateus said.
College, community partners support event
Rock Valley College will again serve as one of the tournament venues.
“Rock Valley College is incredibly proud to open our campus and facilities to Baseball For All Nationals,” said Darin Monroe, athletic director at Rock Valley College.
“It is an absolute privilege to support these talented athletes as they compete, build lifelong connections, and experience the rich women’s baseball history that Rockford is known for.”
Monroe said hosting games during the Women’s Baseball World Cup provides an opportunity to showcase the college’s facilities while exposing young athletes to high-level international competition.
