As per the RBI's holiday schedule, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks observe a holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. The good news is that a closed branch does not mean banking comes to a complete standstill. ATMs, UPI, internet banking and mobile banking apps will remain available for routine transactions such as fund transfers, bill payments and account management. However, services requiring a physical branch visit may have to wait until it reopens.A quick check of the holiday calendar could save customers an unnecessary trip and help keep their banking plans on track amid the festive rush.
