Myles Garrett has missed the Los Angeles Rams' last five games while rehabbing his knee, and it sounds like he's on track to miss a sixth straight game this week.
Sean McVay told reporters on Monday that Garrett won't return to practice this week. He's currently on injured reserve and is eligible to return at any time, but the Rams aren't ready to open his 21-day practice window. They're taking their time with the star edge rusher and opting not to rush him back before he's ready.
Garrett dealt with knee swelling during training camp and preseason practices, but he was able to play in the opener against the 49ers. After returning home from Australia, the Rams determined it would be best for him to undergo surgery on his knee and go on IR.
Rams DE Myles Garrett will not practice this week. So that would make six straight games he’s missed with this knee injury.

The Rams traded Jared Verse and multiple draft picks to the Browns for Garrett back in June, which was the biggest trade of the NFL offseason. However, they haven't had much of a chance to see the reigning Defensive Player of the Year on the field due to his balky knee.
It's unclear exactly when Garrett will return but with all the injuries the Rams have suffered, they need him back as soon as possible.
