'Most overrated ever': Social media piles on Texas football after loss to unranked Florida

Texas football was hoping to avoid a loss to Florida.

But the Longhorns couldn't take the lead late in the fourth quarter after an Arch Manning fumble with 1 minute, 58 seconds left in the game. Texas ended up losing 27-24 at home, its second straight loss since the Red River Rivalry last weekend. It was also the first time that Manning lost at home as a starter.

UT has now lost two straight for the first time in about a half-decade.

Florida backup quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. got his first start after Aaron Philo was ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Jones finished the game with two interceptions and 155 yards.

Here is how social media reacted to losing back-to-back games to unranked teams.

Oklahoma broke Texass. I said, the Longhorns were clearly the most overrated number 1 team ever. They did not deserve that ranking. Now the world sees how fake they are and always were.

Stop me if you've heard this before: Arch Manning turns the ball over late in the fourth quarter to potentially cost Texas the game.

Texas loses back to back games to unranked teams. They don't deserve to be ranked. Voters, do the right thing.
