A Zambian pilot turned a regular Saturday into an airborne lunch date, flying to Limpopo just to swim and eat with friends at the Zabula Golf Estate.
She posted a travel vlog on 11 October 2026, documenting the entire adventure from the cockpit to the pool. The clip showed her and her friends taking off from North West Province, where they had stopped for breakfast, and landing at a nearby airstrip before calling for transport to the resort.
The video captured the easygoing spirit of the trip: charging her phone mid-flight, navigating with a TCAS system, and letting her friend Juliet handle the controls for one leg of the journey on what turned out to be a turbulent, sweltering day.
A dream she once only prayed for
What gave the vlog its emotional pull was a moment of quiet reflection she shared at Zabula Golf Estate. Before she became a pilot, she used to pray specifically to visit the estate. On this trip, she flew there herself just to order lunch and jump in the pool.
She also shared a lighthearted memory from a first date at the same resort, recalling how she mispronounced "daiquiri" in front of her partner and the waiter. She said:
"It's only embarrassing if you're embarrassed, and I wasn't."
The resort, set in Limpopo, charmed her with its menu's colourable backsides, live entertainment, and the cheeky monkeys known to steal drinks from unsuspecting guests.
