I&M Bank Uganda Limited has partnered with comedians Patrick “Salvador” Idringi and Dr Hillary Okello for the highly anticipated 2 Kings One Mic comedy show scheduled for Friday, October 23, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
The show will bring the two of Uganda’s leading English-speaking comedians together for an evening of comedy, live music and entertainment, targeting fans across different generations.
Salvador and Dr Okello are widely known for their witty humour and clean comedy, which have earned them a strong following in Uganda and beyond. The event is expected to showcase their individual strengths while highlighting the creative possibilities of collaboration in the entertainment industry.
Annette Nakiyaga, I&M Bank Uganda’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting local talent and engaging customers beyond traditional banking services.
“Salvador and Dr Hillary need no introduction. They are among the best in the country and beyond, so this is an opportunity for I&M Bank to support the arts, celebrate Uganda’s entertainment industry and be part of something our customers will genuinely enjoy,” Nakiyaga said.
Salvador said the comedians had spent months preparing for the show and were eager to present audiences with an experience that goes beyond their popular social media skits.
“We have been preparing for this show for months, and we are excited about what we have put together. You have probably seen some of our skits on social media, but those are just a small taste of what we have in store,” he said.
He added that the production aims to demonstrate the value of collaboration in comedy, with the two performers working together to entertain audiences rather than compete against each other.
Dr Hillary Okello described 2 Kings One Mic as a distinctive comedy experience focused on delivering laughter and creating lasting memories for fans.
The show will be hosted by Dr Mitch Egwang and performed entirely in English, with a limited number of guest performers expected to join the line-up.
Live entertainment will also feature prominently, with Janzi Band leading the musical performances and DJ Tony Wallace providing music throughout the evening.
According to the organisers, general admission tickets are available at Shs100,000, while customers can purchase tickets at a discounted price of Shs80,000 through MTN Mobile Money (MoMo). Table packages are priced at Shs3 million and Shs5 million.
I&M Bank’s involvement adds a corporate partnership dimension to the event, highlighting the role of private-sector support in promoting Uganda’s creative arts and expanding opportunities for local entertainers to connect with audiences.
With comedy, live music and guest performances on the programme, 2 Kings One Mic is positioned as a major entertainment event on Kampala’s social calendar.
