Seoul's Gangbuk-gu District will hold a gardening class for expectant mothers on Nov. 4 at the district's smart farm center, aiming to help pregnant women build an emotional bond with their unborn children.
The district will accept 12 pregnant residents by phone on a first-come, first-served basis. The one-hour session begins at 2 p.m. Participants will arrange flowers with professional horticulture instructors, an activity intended to ease stress and foster a connection with the fetus. They will then tour the smart farm center to observe how eco-friendly crops are grown.
Gangbuk-gu also runs a forest program for pregnant women. The program supports healthy childbirth through hands-on activities in nature, including guided forest walks, strolls and talking to the unborn child outdoors.
