Quarterback Justin Herbert gets called out for not being held responsible for the Los Angeles Chargers’ terrible start to the season.
Week six of the 2026-27 NFL season has made things worse for the Los Angeles Chargers as they were handed their sixth straight loss.
The Chargers are now 0-6 to start the season following their most recent 22-6 defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the aftermath of that terrible loss, quarterback Justin Herbert has once again become the centre of criticism from fans and experts alike.
NFL analyst says Madison Beer being ‘a 10’ is allowing Justin Herbert to get away with poor performance
In the 16-point defeat, Herbert completed 204 passing yards while getting sacked four times and throwing one interception. He finished the game with a 63.3 passing rating.
Despite that, head coach Jim Harbaugh is facing the majority of the wrath from Chargers fans on social media.
Keeping that in mind, NFL analyst Scott Kacsmar pointed out that Herbert dating Madison Beer is allowing him to get away with terrible performances.
“Justin Herbert – You have to laugh that he’s become the first QB in NFL history that we’re sorta giving a pass for playing terrible just because his girl is a 10,” Kacsmar wrote on X.
He added, “Seven years in the league, zero personality (try naming one memorable quote he’s said), and zero playoff wins.”
Herbert’s relationship with Beer has been continuously in the headlines even before the NFL season kicked off.
Many believe that the Chargers QB is no longer focused on his NFL career and is getting way too distracted due to his relationship with Beer.
Unfortunately, for Herbert, a 0-6 start to the season is doing more harm than good for his relationship with Beer.
