Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams connected on 22 of his 33 pass attempts for 308 yards and two touchdowns during the team's Week 7 win over the New England Patriots. Williams also ran five times for 18 yards.
Why It Matters: Williams continued to make smart reads on Thursday night, consistently getting the ball to his receivers with room to roam after the catch. It resulted in Williams' second straight 300-plus-yard effort, which is something he did just once all of last season. Eventually, you'd imagine defenses will adjust to some of the quick-hitting stuff Ben Johnson keeps dialing up, but Williams is capable of pushing the ball downfield as well. While he hasn't done much running in two games since his return to the lineup, the former No. 1 pick has that in his repertoire. With Williams possessing multiple ways to generate value, he's starting to push toward someone that shouldn't be left out of your lineup most weeks..
