Cedarville University has renamed its tennis facilities after a longtime Yellow Jackets coach and hall of fame member.
The university’s board of education recently approved renaming the facilities as the Dr. Delyte “Dee” Morris Tennis Complex.
Morris was part of Cedarville for 42 years as a professor, physician and coach. She became the school’s tennis head coach in 2007 after spending 10 years as an assistant. She led Cedarville to four consecutive NCCAA National Championship appearances in her first four seasons.
She was inducted into the Cedarville University Hall of Fame in 2006 and the NCCAA Hall of Fame in 2011.
The name change will occur as renovations to the university’s tennis complex continue into the Summer of 2027. The University received a $200,000 gift from the United State Tennis Association to assist with the $1.2 million renovation project.
The facility will have 12 total courts, three of which will include pickleball layouts.
