TL;DR: Get a refurbished Apple MacBook Air with the M2 chip for $649.99 (reg. $999) during Deal Days.
Buying a new MacBook for every person on a team is hard to justify. A refurbished machine brings that cost down while keeping the same chip and display. During Deal Days, TechRepublic Academy’s version of Prime Day, a refurbished 2022 Apple MacBook Air with the M2 chip is on sale for $649.99 (reg. $999).
M2 power at 2.7 pounds
Apple’s M2 chip pairs an 8-core CPU with an 8-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. With 8GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD, this configuration fits office apps, browser-based tools, and everyday multitasking. Battery life reaches up to 15 hours of wireless web use, so a full workday away from an outlet is realistic.
At 0.44 inches thick and 2.7 pounds, the Air goes from the office to a client meeting without a second thought. A 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display shows 2560 by 1664 pixels at up to 500 nits, bright enough for presentations in a sunny conference room.
Video calls get a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a three-mic array, and a four-speaker sound system. Touch ID on the backlit Magic Keyboard speeds up logins. For connections, you get two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports, MagSafe 3 charging, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, plus support for one external display up to 6K.
This MacBook Air carries a Grade B refurbished rating. Expect light scuffing on the case or light scratches and dents on the body. Apple originally shipped it with macOS Monterey, and it can be upgraded to macOS Sequoia. A third-party 30-day parts-and-labor warranty and a charger are included.
Give your team a Mac with the M2 chip without paying full price.
