Delta Air Lines has cut eight destinations from its route map since 2025, as the airline looks to consolidate poor-performing routes. Delta is one of the largest airlines in North America, with a fleet of more than 1,000 aircraft.
The exotic destinations of Saint Vincent and Tahiti have been cut, while convenient services to London's second-largest airport, Gatwick, have also gone offline. A number of smaller domestic US airports have also been axed. Data for this article has been sourced from Cirium, an online aviation analytics company.
Long-Haul Flights To Papeete, Gatwick And Geneva Are Axed
The longest-running flights in this analysis to have been cut from Delta's network include its nonstop service that operated from
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Papeete (PPT). The nonstop service to French Polynesia was cut in July 2025, as the airline withdrew from the French archipelago.
London Gatwick (LGW), the airline's only nonstop service to London's second busiest airport, was withdrawn in September 2025, and now leaves the only services to the British capital via
London Heathrow Airport (LHR). Services to Heathrow are operated from most major Delta hubs.

Services to the Swiss city of Geneva were cancelled in October of last year, leaving United Airlines as the only US operator to the city. SWISS also maintains nonstop services to the US from Geneva Airport (GVA), with year-round flights to New York (JFK).

Short-Haul Domestic Destinations Also See Route Cuts
Closer to home, Delta cut a number of domestic routes due to poor performance. These include Midland, Williston Basin, and Yellowstone. The airline withdrew operations from Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Midland International in Texas in November 2025, leaving its route to Austin for
Southwest Airlines to become the sole operator on the city pair.
Williston Basin (XWA) lost all Delta flights in September this year, as the airline withdrew nonstop flights to the North Dakota airport. This left the route to Minneapolis (MSP) unserved.
Yellowstone Airport (WYS) also lost its Delta links, with the airline axing nonstop flights from Salt Lake City in September this year. These flights operated as seasonal and are not expected to return next year.

Mazatlán And Saint Vincent Lost Delta Services
Delta previously operated nonstop flights from Minneapolis to Mazatlán up until April this year, when the airline decided to stop flying due to low passenger demand and heavy competition from hometown carrier Sun Country Airlines. Mazatlán is a popular tourist destination in Mexico, located in Sinaloa, on the Pacific coastline.

The final destination cut from the Delta network is Argyle International Airport (SVD), serving the Caribbean country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The airport is one of the country's most important infrastructure assets, and Delta's withdrawal from Saint Vincent leaves no direct competitor on the route to Atlanta; however, US carriers American Airlines and JetBlue provide nonstop flights to other destinations in the US, while Caribbean Airlines also maintains year-round services to New York.
