Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) searched high and low in Emmerdale following the theft of his poker winnings, unaware that the true culprit was much closer to home.
The farmer was desperate to make some money last week following the purchase of The Hide and thus he went head-to-head with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and managed to win £100k.
But when that money was robbed while he was in the Woolpack, he was left devastated – having well and truly lost everything. The search was on tonight to locate the missing cash – and the theif – with Kev (Chris Coghill) being the number one suspect.
Little did Robert know, however, that the actual thief was none other than Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who claimed the cash in a bid to teach granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) – who has been horrible towards her in recent weeks – a lesson.
Sarah had assisted Robert with orchestrating the poker game and his subsequent win, so the loss of the cash certainly wiped the smile of her face. Charity, however, soon started to regret her actions. Can she make this right?
